Stenoji ("we", "us") is a transcription service operated from India, available at stenoji.com. This policy explains what data we handle and how. We keep it in plain language because we want you to actually read it.
Audio you submit is sent securely to our transcription provider (AssemblyAI) to generate the transcript, and transcripts you choose to Polish or Translate are sent to Google's Gemini API. Audio files are not stored on our servers after processing. On paid plans, transcripts are saved to your private account history (your most recent 20) so you can revisit them — you can permanently delete any transcript in the app at any time, and older ones are deleted automatically as new ones arrive. On the free plan, transcripts are not stored after they are delivered to your browser. Our processing partners retain data temporarily in line with their own policies (see AssemblyAI and Google AI privacy documentation).
You must have the consent of meeting participants or other recorded persons before transcribing conversations, as required by applicable law. Stenoji provides the tool; you are responsible for using it lawfully.
We use browser local storage to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
Supabase (accounts and usage database), AssemblyAI (speech-to-text), Google Gemini (transcript polishing), Render (hosting), and — once paid plans launch — Razorpay (payments; we never see or store your card details).
To delete your account and associated data, email us at support@stenoji.com from your registered address. We will action deletion within 30 days.
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
